and finally graduating from pre-school! Emma turned 3 this month and we had 2 fun parties. All she wanted was a kitty cake and cookie. I thought they turned out pretty cute. Wish I could take credit for them!

Emma choosing her make-up colors. Mike and I took a quick vacation to Phoenix this month. Mike had a conference on real-estate investments (fun fun), so I tagged along. We stayed at the Arizona Biltmore. Fabulous. Our room was more like a condo w/ a private pool. Ahhhh, the life. Fortunately for us, it was an unseasonably warm 80 degrees the entire time we were there! My good friend from college, Sara, lives there so I was so excited to get to spend some time by the pool with her....having lunch and charging frilly drinks to our room. Wish I could've taken pics, but my camera is broken and spending some quality time with the Cannon people.
With over 2 weeks off for Christmas break,
we had to keep busy. So, the girls
fingerpainted, played in the snow,
attended Libby's pre-school Christmas program,
and had a fabulous Christmas with our families!

Here are a few pictures of what's been going on at our house.
Halloween was fun. Emma was a turtle and Libby was a pink poodle. They had a blast!
Mike's bobcat finally came back from the taxidermist. Emma asked if I would put batteries in it so it could talk. Libby said it "creeped her out."
Mike and the girls went "camping" in the backyard.
And finally, the girls came down one morning dressed in their swimming suits and asked if they could go to the waterpark. In November.
Mike helped the girls carve their pumpkins again this year. They turned out great. The girls are thrilled! Libby wants a Halloween birthday party.....in April.
So we went to Kansas City a few weeks ago to see some friends and stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. We had a great time! Libby is really into doing things "as a family," so this was the perfect place for us to be. Oh, did I mention we saw my daughter's idols "The Backyardigans" in concert?
